Summit County Court of Common Pleas General Division Notice and Request for Virtual Access to Trials

  • Following guidance from the Ohio Supreme Court, members of the press and public may remotely observe trials in a public viewing room at the Summit County Courthouse.

    Requests can be made by completing the form below and emailing to media@cpcourt.summitoh.net.

    PLEASE NOTE: Persons granted virtual access to proceedings are reminded of the general prohibition against photographing, recording, and rebroadcasting of court proceedings (including those held by telephone or videoconference). Any recording of a court proceeding held by video or teleconference, including “screen-shots” or other visual copying of a hearing, is absolutely prohibited. Violation of these prohibitions may result in sanctions, including restricted entry to future hearings, denial of entry to future hearings, or any other sanctions deemed necessary by the court.
